"...we are extremely proud to let everyone know these facts, which alone speak volumes about how far the chapter has come"

Ralph Shanks, President, Board of Chapter Advisors (BCA)

1. The open and blant use and abuse of drugs in the house is a thing of the past. It took some housecleaning and tough decisions, but FIJI is no longer the place to get drugs.

2. Membership has increased from 25 members to near 75 today with a new 2008 Pledge Class of 35 for a total approaching 100.

3. The $80,000 debt of the Chapter has been eliminated and Delta Tau now consistently operates in the black.

4. The Chapter's GPA has risen from dead last on campus to having consistent semesters ranked in the top 2 or 3.

5. Intramurals have provided additional accolades for the Chapter with success in football, soccer and other sports - stemming from a history of non-involvement.

6. Individual members have become involved in all types of campus activities including campus politics, social service organizations, IFC and philanthropic activities.

7. The house has undergone a magnificant overhauling especially in the downstairs with new furnishings, new decorations, a new HDTV 62 inch set, commemorative plaques and replica photos of the many awards won by the Chapter over the years. Also a photo salute to Delta Tau '63 Jim Caswell who was a past Phi Gamma Delta Archon President (photo on page 102 of Purple Pilgrim) now has a permanent place of honor in the entry hall of the house.

8. Brother Jason (Buddy) Polan - Class of '63 is entering his 2nd Year as House Manager (mom).

9. The house is completely full each semester and meal service has been dramatically improved by bringing in a new caterer (thanks to Jason). The food is of such high quality now that guys who don't live in the house have signed up for meal plans to enjoy the new cuisine.

10. And...the annual Norris Pig Dinner has grown from being non-existent 5 years ago to bringing together over 150 Brothers at last year's event. The expectations for this year are that over 200 Brothers will be in attendance this year. We hope that is the case. We hope YOU will be among those attending, visiting the House and meeting the outstanding group of young men in the Chapter today. We have a Chapter tradition to be proud of...and we have a current Chapter that is carrying on the tradition.

There are more Condon and Cheney Cups in Delta Tau's future, Guaranteed!

Fraternally, Ralph Shanks '63
President, Board of Chapter Advisors
